IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
A RESOLUTION transferring $20,000.00 within the 1998 General Fund and authorizing the County Executive to execute an agreement with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference for funding of the 1999 King Birthday Celebration at a cost to the County not to exceed $20,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the County and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) desire to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, whereunder the County will pay $20,000.00 to the SCLC to be used by SCLC for funding the 1999 King Birthday Celebration; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer within the 1998 General Fund is necessary to provide the funding for this agreement; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 1998 General Fund:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the County; and,

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
