AN ORDINANCE repealing schedules II, III, and IV to chapter 2, Jackson County Code, 1984, relating to the salaries of County employees not within the merit system.

Body
WHEREAS, the Medical Examiner has requested an upward adjustment in the established salary range for the position of Deputy Medical Examiner, in order to be able to attract a well-qualified candidate for the office's current vacancy; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has also requested the revision of three ranges and the addition of one range within that office to make those ranges consistent with the Memorandum of Understanding with Local 42, International Association of Fire Fighters; and,
 
WHEREAS, the County Counselor and Legislative Auditor have also requested modest modifications to ranges within their offices; and,
 
WHEREAS, these modifications are in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, as follows:
 
Section A.        Enacting Clause.  Schedule II, III, and IV to chapter 2, Jackson County Code, 1984, are hereby repealed and two new schedules enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as schedules II and IV, to read as follows:
