IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
A RESOLUTION awarding a contract on Electronic Solicitation No. BB20029, for the furnishing of one motorgrader for use by the Public Works Department to Victor L. Phillips Co. of Kansas City, MO, at the actual net cost of $93,556.00., and declaring one 1985 Champion, Model # 730A Motorgrader, Serial Number 13714322292 and one 1975 Caterpillar, Model 130G, Serial Number 74V501, as surplus and authorizing their disposal by way of trade-in.

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids Electronic Solicitation No. BB20029 for the furnishing of one motorgrader for use by the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the three lowest bids thereon bids from the following;

Victor L. Phillips Co. $93,556.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Cooke Sales & Service $99,950.00
Chillicothe, MO
Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co. $112,450.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of this equipment has rendered an existing 1985 Champion, Model # 730A motorgrader, Serial Number 13714322292 and one 1975 Caterpillar, Model 130G, Serial Number 74V501, as surplus property; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to §1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this equipment by way of trade-in; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the existing county equipment described above be and hereby is declared surplus and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of said equipment by way of trade-in.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
