A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an agreement with Missouri Gas Energy for the extension of natural gas facilities, Project No. 2416, for use by the Public Works Department, at a cost to the County not to exceed $27,763.45.

Body
WHEREAS, it is necessary to construct an extension of a natural gas main to the new Public Works maintenance facility; and,
WHEREAS, the County and Missouri Gas Energy desire to enter into an Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, whereby the County shall contribute the sum of $27,763.45 to Missouri Gas Energy for the extension of the gas main to the Maintenance Facility, Project No. 2416; and,
WHEREAS, Missouri Gas Energy has agreed to construction the extension as described in Exhibit A; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Agreement provides a suitable mechanism to implement this project; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, and to encumber the amount of $27,763.45.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
