Title
A RESOLUTION partially rescinding Resolution 11183, dated February 20, 1996, as to the purchase
from Sonny Hill Motors of Platte City, MO, and awarding that part of the contract for the furnishing
of one Ford Aerostar passenger mini van for use by the Sheriff's Department to Broadway Ford of
Kansas City, MO, in the actual amount of $16,613.00.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 11183, dated February 20, 1996, the County approved the purchase of
trucks and vans from Olathe Ford of Olathe, KS, in the amount of $72,625.00, Raytown Dodge of
Raytown, MO, in the amount of $23,730.00, and Sonny Hill Motors of Platte City, MO, in the
amount of $33,939.00 for use by the Parks and Recreation, Public Works, and Sheriff's Departments,
under Joint Governmental Fleet Bid, an existing government contract of the Mid- America Council
of Public Purchasing; and,
WHEREAS, one of the vehicles which the Legislature authorized be purchased from Sonny Hill
Motors under Resolution 11183 was a Ford Aerostar passenger mini van; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has now learned that Sonny Hill Motors no longer sells these
vehicles and therefore he recommends that the portion of the contract relating to the Ford Aerostar
be rescinded and awarded to Broadway Ford of Kansas City, MO, under the Joint Governmental
Fleet Bid, an existing contract of the Mid- America Council of Public Purchasing; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Resolution No.
11183, dated February 20, 1996, be and hereby is partially rescinded as set out above; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director,
and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any
documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make
all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
