IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION congratulating the Lee's Summit High School Tigers wrestling team on its individual and team wrestling accomplishments. Intro RESOLUTION 11200, March 4, 1996 INTRODUCED BY John C. Graham and Fred Arbanas, County Legislators Body WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit Tigers wrestling team recently won its District 4 championship, qualifying seven of its wrestlers for the Class 4A Missouri State Wrestling Championship; and, WHEREAS, at the state tournament, the Tigers won the championship, earning them the first Class 4A wrestling title in the history of Lee's Summit High School, and the first Class 4A title in the Kansas City area in fifteen years; and, WHEREAS, with fifty schools participating, Lee's Summit achieved its victory with a total of 130.5 points over Park Hill High School's 101 points; and, WHEREAS, prior to its state championship, Lee's Summit ranked number 23 nationally; and, WHEREAS, those wrestlers participating in the state tournament and their places were: 103 lb. Chris Conner - 4th, 130 lb. Eric Patton - 2nd, 135 lb. Jared Neal - 4th, 145 lb. Mick Kronk - 1st, 171 lb. Brian Bixby - 5th, 189 lb. Brad Brattin - 5th, and heavyweight Chad Hertzog - 5th; and, WHEREAS, Chad Hertzog is the grandson of former County Legislator Dr. Robert Hertzog; and, WHEREAS, the coaches and staff who led this outstanding group of wrestlers are Ethan Hauck, Head Coach, Don Graham, Assistant, John Repp, Assistant, Bryan Elam, Assistant, John Donnell, Athletic Trainer; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Legislature congratulates the Lee's Summit High School Tigers on their outstanding victories as district and Missouri state wrestling champions...Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
