Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 35-04 for the furnishing of agricultural/field services supplies for use by the Public Works and the Parks and Recreation Departments, to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming twelve-month period; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to multiple vendors to ensure the availability of the widest variety of products in different geographical locations; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to the following vendors:
VENDOR AWARD
Old Mill Grain & Seed Company $21,000.00
Lee's Summit, MO
Feldman's Farm & Home $117,000.00
Blue Springs, MO
and,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
