Body
WHEREAS, the Kansas City Chiefs Football Club has requested the permission of the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority to construct decorative fencing bordering the Harry S. Truman Sports Complex as indicated in the attached aerial photo; and,
WHEREAS, the Chiefs propose to construct this structure at the club's cost; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority, the County's tenant and agent at the sports complex, recommends that the Chiefs be allowed to proceed as requested; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the County's lease with the Authority, the County is required to give its consent before construction of a permanent improvement at the sports complex can proceed; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby consents to the construction of decorative fencing by the Kansas City Chiefs on the grounds of the Harry S. Truman Sports Complex; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to give effect to this consent.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
