Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 36-05 for the furnishing of auto/truck parts from non-dealer sources for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments; and,
WHEREAS, she distributed 27 solicitations and received two responsive bids; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be divided and awarded to both vendors to ensure the broadest availability of needed parts; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in awards to the following vendors;
VENDOR
O'Reilly Auto Parts
Springfield, MO
Factory Motor Parts
Kansas City, MO
(Jackson County)
Now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award for the upcoming one year period be made to O'Reilly Auto Parts of Springfield, MO, and Factory Motor Parts of Kansas City, MO, as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
