Body

WHEREAS, the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments have a need for the furnishing of Ford parts for departmental operations ; and,

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the  award of a twelve (12) month term and supply contract to  for the furnishing of Ford parts for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments from Independence Lincoln Mercury of Independence, MO and Midway Ford Truck Center Inc., of Kansas City, MO, under the terms and conditions set forth in existing government contracts of the City of Independence, MO, specified hereafter; and,

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 1064. of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing has determined that due to higher volume discounts offered to larger entities, he recommends the award be made under the following contracts:

and,

 

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount.  The availability of funds for specific purchases is subject to annual appropriations; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Purchasing , and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
