Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16157, dated February 12, 2007, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute an Agreement with Kansas City Free Health Clinic (AIDS Program) of Kansas City, MO, at a cost to the County not to exceed $65,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, a portion of this agreement authorized funding for the Good Samaritan Project for transportation and emergency services; and,
WHEREAS, the Kansas City Free Health Clinic (AIDS Program) has now requested that the Good Samaritan Project portion of services to be utilized for in-home family counseling services instead of transportation and emergency services; and,
WHEREAS, the in-home family counseling program, which began in 2006, has far exceeded the expectations of families reached and services provided; and,
WHEREAS, the Good Samaritan Project has been able to secure funding for both transportation and emergency assistance services from other sources; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an Addendum to the Cooperative Agreement with Kansas City Free Health Clinic (AIDS Program) of Kansas City, MO, at no additional cost to the County, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
