IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title AN ORDINANCE amending the districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from A (Agricultural) to RU (Residential Urban), a certain 30 + acre tract. Intro ORDINANCE 2908, April 6, 1999 Body BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows: Section 1. The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RU" (Residential Urban) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RU a tract of land described as follows: Legal Description: A 30 ñ acre tract of land generally located north of U.S. 24 Highway, east of the Salem East Subdivision, between 18th Street North and Old Lexington Road and more specifically: Part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 20, Township 50, Range 31, Jackson County, Missouri described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of Section 20, Township 50, Range 31; thence West, 564.29 feet; thence North, 1617 feet; thence West 247.5 feet; thence North 17 degrees East, 319.65 feet; thence East, 722.7 feet to the East Section line; thence South along the said Section line, 1916.64 feet to beginning. Also, beginning at the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 20, Township 50, Range 31; thence West, 564.29 feet; thence South, 600 feet to the center of Old Lexington Road; thence Northeasterly along the center line of Old Lexington Road to a point where said road intersects the East line of said Section; thence North, 261 feet along said Section line to the point of beginning, except part in Highway. Section 2. The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Ed Reese (RZ-99-146), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended this application in a public hearing on March 18, 1999, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning. Attorney Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
