Body
WHEREAS, the Departments of Public Works and Parks and Recreation have a continuing need for tires and related services; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing, pursuant to section 1030.4 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the award of term and supply contracts for the furnishing of tires and related services for use by these departments to Cross Midwest Tire of Kansas City, KS, for Firestone tires and Wingfoot Commercial Tire Systems LLC of Kansas City, MO, for Goodyear tires, under existing government contracts of the State of Missouri, Contract No. C106068001 and Contract No. C106068002, to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming twelve-month period; and
WHEREAS, section 1030.4 requires that, for any such award in excess of $25,000, the Director of Finance and Purchasing shall submit the proposed purchase to the County Legislature for approval; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
