RESOLUTION NO. 21817, December 2, 2024

 

INTRODUCED BY Venessa Huskey, County Legislator

 

 

Body

 WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids pursuant to Invitation to Bid No. 24-062 for drug and alcohol testing, pre-employment physical examinations, and fitness for duty medical examinations for use by the Department of Corrections; and,

 

WHEREAS, notifications were distributed and four responses were received from the following:

BIDDER

 

Caduceus

Hapeville, GA

 

Concentra

Kansas City, MO

 

NAO Medical

Astoria, NY 

 

Test Smartly Labs

Overland Park, KS

 

 

and,

 

 

 

WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bid received, the Director recommends award to Caduceus of Hapeville, Georgia, which submitted the lowest and best bid; and,

 

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation with an estimated annual spending of $25,000.00; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments on the contract, including final payment, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are available in the then current Jackson County budget.

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
