Body
WHEREAS, Daylen Robinson was named the Hy-Vee High School Athlete of the Week on March 2, 2010; and,
WHEREAS, the Hy-Vee High School Athlete of the Week is presented by Metro Sports and KSHB-41 for outstanding play by a high school athlete; and,
WHEREAS, Daylen is a senior at Northeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri, and plays the position of point guard on the Northeast High School basketball team; and,
WHEREAS, on Friday February 26, 2010, Daylen scored an impressive 57 points in the Missouri Class 5 District 15 championship game against Central High School; and,
WHEREAS, only two other male high school basketball players in Missouri high school basketball history have scored 57 points in a single game; and,
WHEREAS, Daylen shot over 60 percent and averaged 47 points per game during district play for the Northeast High School basketball team; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Daylen Robison on being named the Hy-Vee High School Athlete of the Week and extends sincere best wishes for continued excellence in future endeavors.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
