WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Electronic Solicitation No. BB200265 for the furnishing of cold asphaltic concrete mix and patching material for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon bids from the following:

WHEREAS, following evaluation of these bids, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to the vendors as follows:

therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.

This award is made on a need basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases will, of necessity, be determined as each using agency places its order, with certification made at that time within amounts previously budgeted for the spending agency.
