IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION awarding a one-year term and supply contract for the rental of industrial and construction equipment for use by the Public Works Department to Victor L. Phillips Co. of Kansas City, MO, under a City of Kansas City government contract, at the estimated cost to the County of $10,000.00. Intro RESOLUTION # 11228, April 1, 1996 INTRODUCED BY John C. Graham, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Public Works Department desires to rent industrial and construction equipment; and, WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing pursuant to Section 1040.05 of the Jackson County Code, 1984 recommends the rental of this equipment from Victor L. Phillips Co. of Kansas City, MO, under a City of Kansas City government contract; and, WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984 requires that for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the purchase under the existing government contract be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the purchase; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Revenue is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the current Jackson County budget. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
