WHEREAS, there is now pending in the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri, the case of Clyde Webster, et al. v. Jackson County, Missouri, et al., Case No. CV93-10456 wherein the plaintiffs se k damages against Jackson County, Missouri relative to injuries and/or deaths allegedly resulting rom an automobile accident occurring in Jackson County, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Counselor has recommended that it is in the best interest of the heal h, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County that all of the plaintiffs' claims be set led for the payment of $132,000.00 to plaintiffs, as more specifically explained and detailed to t e Jackson County Legislature by the County Counselor in closed session related to this litigation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Counselor be and hereby is, authorized to settle the case of Clyde Webster, et al. v. Jackson County, Missour , et al., Case No. CV93-10456 in the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri, for a total paymen of $132,000.00, in full, final, and complete release of Jackson County, Missouri, and all of its mployees, officers, agents, and servants; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to issue the chec of Jackson County, Missouri in the total amount of $132,000.00 to plaintiffs pursuant to instruct ons of the Jackson County Counselor.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of he Legislature.
