A RESOLUTION transferring $7,155.00 within the 2025 Inmate Security Fund and awarding a twelve month contract with two twelve-month options to extend to Precision Dynamics Corp, dba PDC IDenticard of Valencia, CA, for clincher identification wristbands and supportive equipment for use by the Jackson County Detention Center, at an actual cost to the County in the amount of $7,155.00, as a sole source purchase.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 21717, passed September 16, 2024, the Jackson County Legislature awarded a contract to Precision Dynamics Corp (PDC) for RFID identification wristbands for use at the Jackson County Detention Center; and,
WHEREAS, there is a continuing need for use of such identification wristbands and the current inmate identification tracking system, including all supportive equipment that is configured for use exclusively with PDC clincher identification wristbands; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and the Sheriff recommend the acquisition of the needed clincher identification wristbands and supportive equipment from Precision Dynamics Corp, dba PDC IDenticard of Valencia, CA, as a sole source purchase; and;
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place a portion of the funds needed for the required technology in the appropriate spending account; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2025 Inmate Security Fund be and hereby is made:

and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the contract be awarded as recommended by the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing and the Sheriff, and that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and hereby is, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
