Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 12219, dated May 18, 1998, the County did enter into an agreement with Kansas City Community Center to provide funding for residential treatment of Drug Court clients in the amount of $141,588.80; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to said Agreement, County and Kansas City Community Center agreed to exercise the option to renew for an additional year which would require the use of additional funds; and,
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County that the County provide additional funds to Kansas City Community Center; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Addendum to Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to increase said contract; and,
WHEREAS, in order to fund this contract, a transfer within the 1999 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund is necessary; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 1999 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Addendum to Agreement with the Kansas City Community Center; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments on the Agreement and Addendum thereto.
