Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited bids for the furnishing of police supplies and ammunition for use by various departments; and,
WHEREAS, he distributed a total of twenty-seven (27) solicitations and received six (6) responses, one of which was rejected for the failure to meet the terms and conditions of the bid; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the responsive bids received, he has recommended that the contract be split and awarded to the bidders submitting the lowest and best bids for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to the following bidders:

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases remaining subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the purchase; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
