Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 23-001 for a term and supply contract for the furnishing of car wash and detailing services for various County departments for one twelve-month term, with one twelve-month option to extend; and,
WHEREAS, a total of nine notifications were distributed and four responses were received and evaluated, from the following:

Santa Monica, CA
Tidal Wave Auto Spa
Thomaston, GA
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends a split award to Cable Dahmer Automotive of Lee’s Summit, MO, Rynse Inc. of Santa Monica, CA, and Tidal Wave Auto Spa of Thomaston, GA; and,
WHEREAS, a split award to the low bidders is recommended to ensure continued availability and variety of necessary services from multiple sources; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contracts to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are available in the then current Jackson County budget.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
