IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI
Title
AN ORDINANCE appropriating $590,000.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2014 General Fund and transferring $171,176.00 within the 2014 General Fund, $4,015.00 within the 2014 Health Fund, $10,043.00 within the 2014 Park Fund, $16,834.00 within in the 2014 Special Road and Bridge Fund, $8,260.00 within the 2014 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund, $63,783.00 within the 2014 Assessment Fund, and $25,000.00 within the 2014 Park Enterprise Fund, to fund upgrades to and replacement of the County's information technology network systems, for use by the Information Technology Department.

Body
WHEREAS, the Downtown Kansas City Courthouse and the Jackson County Detention Center are in need of upgrades to its network system including network switches, routers, cabling and uninterruptable power supplies to secure the County's obsolete systems; and,
WHEREAS, this project is needed to protect the County from a major systems failure and will be performed using an existing County term and supply contract; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation and transfers are necessary to place the necessary funds for this improvement project and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfers and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfers and appropriation be and hereby are made:
