WHEREAS, Jayson Isom, County associate and Network Technician passed away suddenly on July 13, 2024, at the young age of 24; and,
WHEREAS, Jayson's dedication and strong work ethic earned him the admiration of colleagues across various departments, setting a high standard for excellence through his precision, patience, and kindness in approaching challenges; and,
WHEREAS, Jackson County was truly fortunate to have Jayson as an associate, as he was someone who consistently exceeded expectations and contributed significantly to the community and workplace; and,
WHEREAS, Jayson graduated in May 2023 from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Information Technology, following his 2018 graduation from Lake Minneola High School, where he excelled in marching band, jazz band, wind ensemble, and the art club; and,
WHEREAS, Jayson's sudden passing comes as a profound shock to his friends and colleagues, who knew him as a sincere, kind, and helpful person with a keen sense of humor; and,
WHEREAS, Jayson leaves behind his parents, Michele and Corey Isom, his four siblings, CJ, Eryn, Ethan, and Gabriel Isom, all of whom are deeply affected by this tragic loss; and,
WHEREAS, we extend our deepest condolences to Jayson's family, friends, and all who were touched by his remarkable spirit and dedication; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Legislature hereby honors the life and legacy of Jayson Isom, and we mourn his sudden and untimely passing; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the County Legislature that the Legislature extends its heartfelt sympathies to Jayson’s family and friends during this difficult time and celebrate the positive impact he made in his short but meaningful life.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
