IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a First Addendum to the Agreement with Restart, Inc., to provide the continuation of housing services for clients of the Prosecuting Attorney's Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court programs, in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00. Intro RESOLUTION #11981, December 8, 1997 INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the voters of Jackson County, Missouri, approved imposition of a sales tax for seven years to provide funding for the fight against illegal drugs in our community; and, WHEREAS, the proceeds and interest generated from this tax are deposited in a special Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Trust Fund that is segregated and not commingled with the general fund or any other special funds of the County; and, WHEREAS, Resolution 11549, dated December 16, 1996, authorized the County Executive to execute a contract out of anti-drug sales tax funds with Restart, Inc. to provide housing services for clients of the Prosecuting Attorney's Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court Programs, at a cost to the County of $50,000.00; and, WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney now recommends increasing this contract in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00, upon the terms and conditions of the First Addendum attached hereto; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute the attached First Addendum to the Agreement with Restart, Inc.; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the Agreement and the First Addendum thereto...Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
