Body
WHEREAS, Gabriel T. Adams, a junior and honor roll student at Lincoln College Preparatory Academy, has attained the rank of Eagle Scout; and,
WHEREAS, Gabriel has more than 10 years' scouting experience, from Tiger Cubs to Eagle, with 6 years of camping at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation; and,
WHEREAS, Gabriel, a member of Troop 25, sponsored by St. Francis Xavier Parents & Friends of Catholic Scouting, Inc. , has held leadership positions including, scribe, junior assistant scout master, and senior patrol leader, and is a Tom-Tom Beater in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say; and,
WHEREAS, Gabriel's Eagle Scout project involved planning, organizing, and conducting a community blood drive in conjunction with the Troost Midtown Association; and,
WHEREAS, Gabriel received Honor Camper and Honor Scout Awards in 1999, the Junior Staff of the Year Award, Camp Lone Star in 2001, and has earned 49 merit badges and the Ad Altari Dei Religious Emblem Award; and,
WHEREAS, Gabriel attended the National Jamboree in 2001 as Action Center Staff; and,
WHEREAS, in recognition of his outstanding achievements, Gabriel will receive the rank of Eagle Scout during a ceremony to be held on Sunday, November 4, 2001, at St. Francis Xavier Church; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby extends sincere congratulations to Gabriel T. Adams upon attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
