Body
WHEREAS, Cathy Glor was hired by the Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney's Wife and Child Support Division on July 24, 1978, as a Clerk; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy was initially promoted to the position of Child Support Enforcement Tech I, and later was again promoted to the position of Child Support Enforcement Tech II; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy's expertise is in the financial area of child support, determining child support arrearages and collecting support due to the children of Jackson County, Missouri, and her superior skill is reflected through her consistently having one of the highest percentages of payment of child support in the State of Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy's passion for her job is reflected in the millions of dollars of child support she has been instrumental in collecting for the children of Jackson County over the past thirty years; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy is reliable, hard working, has a positive attitude and a constant smile, and she readily completes innumerable tasks in addition to her assigned workload and continues to be successful in any part she plays as a valued employee; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy has always taken an active role in her community, particularly in Girl Scouts and in her church, and enjoys spending time with her family, traveling around the country and watching the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy has been married to Ricky Ray Glor for thirty-one years, and they have two children, Sheila and James, and a beloved Pug, Bandit Jo; and,
WHEREAS, Cathy is expecting her first grandchild in October 2008, when her grandson, Noah Glor, is expected; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby recognizes and thanks Cathy S. Glor for her thirty years of dedicated and loyal service to the citizens, especially the children, of Jackson County, Missouri.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
