A RESOLUTION authorizing the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing to issue a check in the amount of $6,000.00 for the purchase of a sponsorship for the 2026 Palestine Senior Citizens Activity Center’s Prom hosted by LINC.

RESOLUTION NO. 22276, May 18, 2026

 

INTRODUCED BY Manuel Abarca IV and Donna Peyton, County Legislators

 

Body

 WHEREAS, LINC will be hosting the 2026 Palestine Senior Citizens Activity Center’s Prom on Friday, June 12, 2026, and has submitted a request for sponsorship in the amount of $6,000.00; and,

 

WHEREAS, this sponsorship will allow Jackson County the opportunity to support activities that benefit senior citizens’ physical, emotional, and social well-being; and,

 

WHEREAS, in exchange for its sponsorship, Jackson County will receive recognition in the event program; and,

 

WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to issue a check to LINC in the amount of $6,000.00.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
