A RESOLUTION awarding contracts for the purchase of one mini-van, one 3/4 ton pickup, and a one-ton pickup for use by the Parks Department to Dick Smith Ford of Raytown, MO, and Odessa Chrysler of Odessa, MO, under the terms and conditions of the City of Lee's Summit Contract No. 10-009, an existing government contract, at an actual cost to the County not to exceed $66,080.50.

Body
WHEREAS, the County has a need for one mini-van, one 3/4 ton pickup, and a one-ton pickup to be used by the Parks Department for moving equipment and snow removal; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of contracts for the purchase of one mini-van, one 3/4 ton pickup, and a one ton pickup for use by the Parks Department to Dick Smith Ford of Raytown, MO, and Odessa Chrysler of Odessa, MO, under an existing government contract; and,
WHEREAS, the Director recommends award under section 1030.4, Jackson County Code, 1984, for the reason that this will allow the County to take advantage of discounts offered to large entities; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the following purchases:

Dick Smith Ford 3/4 ton pickup

Odessa Chrysler Mini-van $21,047.00

now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made under the existing government contract as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the contracts.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
