IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the Prosecuting Attorney to execute a Fourth Addendum to the Agreement with National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence for substance abuse assessment services for deferred prosecution defendants, at no additional cost to the County. Intro RESOLUTION #10614, January 23, 1995 INTRODUCED BY Lisa White Hardwick, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, by Resolution 9052, dated December 9, 1991, the Legislature did authorize a one-year contract with National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence for substance abuse assessment services for deferred prosecution defendants at a cost to the County not to exceed $20,904.00; and, WHEREAS, by Resolutions 9570, dated January 4, 1993, 9970 dated October 25, 1993, and 10173 dated February 7, 1994, the agreement was extended at an increased cost of $13,936.00, $7,500.00, and $27,872.00, respectively; and, WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney now desires to extend the term of this agreement from January 24, 1995, through March 15, 1995, at no additional cost to the County; and, WHEREAS, the Legislature believes that said extension is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; and, WHEREAS, the attached Fourth Addendum to Agreement sets forth the rights and obligations of the parties; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Prosecuting Attorney be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Fourth Addendum to Agreement with the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
