Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 5993, dated July 7, 2025, the Legislature did authorize a submission to the qualified voters of Jackson County a ballot question; and,
WHEREAS, the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri has set the Special Election by order on September 30, 2025; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County and Kansas City Boards of Election Commissioners have requested advance payment of the estimated costs incurred in connection with the September 30, 2025 Special Election; and,
WHEREAS, the estimated costs for the Special Election are allocated proportionately based on the population of jurisdictions which placed ballot measures on the September 30, 2025, ballot; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer of funds within the 2025 General Fund is necessary in order to cover the costs of the Special Election to be held September 30, 2025 incurred by Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfers be and hereby are made:
