BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District, so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR, a tract of land described as follows:

Description:

 

The 6 ± acres are approximately ½ ± mile east of Missouri Route BB on the south side of Missouri Route FF (Truman Road) and more specifically described as all that part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 49, Range 30, Jackson County, Missouri, being more particularly described as follows:  commencing at the Northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 14; thence along the North line of said Northeast Quarter, North 88 degrees, 44 minutes, 55 seconds West, 512.64 feet to the Northeast corner of the West 817 feet of the East Half of said Northeast Quarter; thence along the East line of the West 817 feet of the East Half of said Northeast Quarter, South 01 degrees, 25 minutes, 21 seconds West, 40.56 feet to the South Right-of-Way line of Truman Road (40 feet from the center line thereof), as described by Document No. 272095 in Book 556 at Page 200, said point being the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence along the South Right-of-Way line of said Truman Road (40 feet from the center line thereof), South 88 degrees, 55 minutes, 45 seconds East, 250.00 feet; thence parallel with the West line of the East 123.30 feet of said Northeast Quarter, South 01 degrees, 33 minutes, 10 seconds West, 110.81 feet; thence South 48 degrees, 12 minutes, 17 seconds East, 90.72 feet to a point 70 feet West of the West line of the East 123.30 feet of said Northeast Quarter; thence parallel with and 70 feet West of the West line of the East 123.30 feet of said Northeast Quarter, South 01 degrees, 33 minutes, 10 seconds West, 675.26 feet; thence North 88 degrees, 55 minutes, 45 seconds West, 317.33 feet to the East line of the West 817 feet of the East Half of said Northeast Quarter; thence along the East line of the West 817 feet of the East Half of said Northeast Quarter, North 01 degrees, 25 minutes, 21 seconds East, 845.24 feet to the point of beginning, containing 5.953 acres more or less aka 33809 E. Truman Road.

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Larry and Theresa Richardson requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission unanimously recommended approval of this application at a public hearing on May 17, 2007, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
