Body
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department has need for grass seed for the maintenance of parks and recreational facilities; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 25-043 for the furnishing of grass seed for use by the Parks + Rec Department to provide for departmental needs; and,
WHEREAS, a total of one thousand one hundred two (1,102) notifications were distributed, and four (4) responses were received and evaluated from the following:

Riverside, MO
Swipe Resources, LLC
Burke, VA
Flick Seed Co
Kingsville, MO
GRASS PAD, INC.
Kansas City, MO
(Jackson County)
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the contract be divided and awarded to the bidders submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation, with an estimated annual usage of $25,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and hereby is, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contracts to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are available in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
