Body
WHEREAS, the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc., has proposed a community anti-drug conference for parents, guardians, and young athletes to address "Urban Youth and Drug Threat"; and,
WHEREAS, the conference target youth in middle and high schools during an event presently scheduled for early 2005 which will provide youth with substance abuse education; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an agreement with the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. , in a form to be approved by the County Counselor, at an actual cost to the County of $6,000.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
