Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 9140., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Legislature may authorize a contract with one or more qualified experts to advise the Board of Equalization; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 9141., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Legislative Auditor prepared Request for Proposal 14-08 and distributed same to potential interested parties; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16662, dated June 16, 2008, the Legislature did authorize the execution of an agreement with Abstract Appraisals of Kansas City, MO, at a cost not to exceed $7,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of Request for Proposal 14-08 the Director of Finance and Purchasing now requests authorization to extend the contract for twelve (12) months, with an additional twenty-four (24) month extension option; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an addendum for a twelve month extension to the agreement with Abstract Appraisals of Kansas City, MO, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
