Body
WHEREAS, the County has a continuing need for the furnishing of miscellaneous electrical supplies and tools for various departmental operations; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of twelve (12) month term and supply contracts to Rexel-Glasco of Kansas City, MO, and Western Extralite Co., of Kansas City, MO, as the best and lowest bidders by item; and,
WHEREAS, a total of twenty-five (25) Invitations to Bid were distributed and two (2) responses were received. The following two (2) bids were received:

and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases is subject to annual appropriations; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that awards be made to Rexel-Glasco of Kansas City, MO, and Western Extralite Co., of Kansas City, MO, and that the Director of Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make payments to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
