Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 45-01 for the furnishing of a cab and chassis with truck mounted asphalt spray patching machine for use by the Public Works Department; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon the following:
VENDOR BID
Victor L. Phillips Co. $113,873.00
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Key Equipment & Supply Co. $114,000.00
Bridgeton, MO
and,
WHEREAS, he has recommended that award be made to Victor L. Phillips Co. of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,
WHEREAS, the acquisition of this new cab and chassis with truck mounted asphalt spray patching machine has rendered the existing 1985 Pot Hole Patching Truck, International, Model# S-1700, Serial Number 1HTLCHYN9FHA58322, as surplus property; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to §1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this 1985 Pot Hole Patching Truck by way of trade-in; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the existing 1985 Pot Hole Patching Truck, International, Model# S-1700, Serial Number 1HTLCHYN9FHA58322, be and hereby is declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of it by way of trade-in.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
