A RESOLUTION commending Jaci L. Mairs for 22 years of loyal public service to the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri.

Body

WHEREAS, beginning in 1981, Jaci L. Mairs served the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri, as Legal Counsel, Assistant Court Administrator and, from 1995 until her departure in August 2003, as Court Administrator; and,

 

                     WHEREAS, during those 22 years, Jaci demonstrated her dedication to providing fairness and justice to the citizens of Jackson County; and,

 

WHEREAS, she was instrumental in guiding the Court through much progress and many changes; and,

 

WHEREAS, she steadfastly supported Court employees during difficult times; and

 

WHEREAS, Jaci completed the significant education requirements to become certified as a Fellow of the Institute of Court Management; and,

 

WHEREAS, she also served on many local and statewide committees dedicated to justice and she received a Distinguished Service Award from the KCMBA Young Lawyers for many of these efforts; and,

                                                                                                                                                                                             

                                          

WHEREAS, during her tenure, Jaci implemented many significant changes within the judicial system, including statewide court automation and the resulting conversions of systems in Jackson County, MACSS and the transition of child support to the State of Missouri, and the development of a salary plan to provide better wages for County-paid Court employees; and,

 

WHEREAS, additionally, Jaci implemented various programs to reward and recognize Circuit Court employees; and,

 

WHEREAS,  throughout her tenure, Jaci has displayed a steady temperament and disciplined focus on the goals of the Court, despite frequent challenges which surely tested her commitment; and,

 

WHEREAS, sincere appreciation goes out to Jaci L. Mairs for many years of dedicated service to the citizens of Jackson County; now, therefore

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby commends Jaci L. Mairs for 22 years of loyal public service to the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri.

 

 

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
