A RESOLUTION congratulating Robert Mann for his outstanding service at Bridging the Gap for the past fourteen (14) years.

Body
WHEREAS, Bob provided Bridging the Gap with fourteen (14) years of dedication and service; and, 
 
WHEREAS, Bob is the proud husband of Judith Mann and the proud grandfather of six (6); and, 
 
WHEREAS, in 1991 Bob helped found the Bridging the Gap organization and then became the President/CEO; and,
 
WHEREAS, during his tenure with Bridging the Gap, he led the organization in achieving recycling goals and initiatives; and,
 
WHEREAS, Bob is the former president and a founding member of the Missouri Recycling Association; and, 
 
WHEREAS, he was also the first Chair and member of the Kansas City Waste Minimization Commission and served on the initial MARC Solid Waste Management District Executive Committee; and,
 
WHEREAS, Bob's exemplary leadership and outstanding work ethic both motivated and encouraged all who worked with him; and,  
 
WHEREAS, Bob and his wife, Judith, will continue to support Bridging the Gap by remaining on staff as co-directors of Shadowcliff Retreat Center in Grand Lake, CO; now therefore, 
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Robert Mann for his hard work at Bridging the Gap for the past fourteen years (14) and wishes him the best in all his future endeavors.
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
