Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments have a need for automatic transmission service for department vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, a total of twenty-three (23) solicitations were distributed and the following two (2) bids were received:
BIDDERS HOURLY LABOR RATE
FOR TRANSMISSION REPAIR
Certified Transmission Rebuilders $40.00
Independence, MO
Lee's Summit Transmissions $45.00
Lee's Summit, MO
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of a twelve (12) month term and supply contract to Certified Transmission Rebuilders of Independence, MO under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid No. BB200529 as the best and lowest bidder; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases is subject to annual appropriations; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Purchasing , and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments to the extent that sufficient appropriations are available.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
