Body
WHEREAS, Stephanie Pickett's tenure with Jackson County began March 24, 1980 in the Prosecutor's office as a records clerk and through several promotions and transfers she has worked as a legal secretary for the Kansas City Warrant Desk, for the Sex Crimes Unit, and for the Domestic Violence Unit; and,
 
WHEREAS, Stephanie transferred to the Family Support Division of the Prosecutor's office on January 31, 2001, where she is currently a Child Support Enforcement Technician in the Administrative Enforcement Unit; and,
 
WHEREAS, Stephanie Pickett is the daughter of Joseph B. Rye and Gertie Pickett and has been a Jackson County resident for fifty (50) years; and,
 
WHEREAS, she is the youngest of seven children including Jack Pickett, Joseph Curns, Roger Curns, Roscoe Curns, Yvonne Curns, and Barbara Curns; and,
 
WHEREAS, Stephanie is also the proud parent of one son, Brandon Pickett; and,
WHEREAS, Stephanie graduated from Lincoln Senior High School, attended Adult Vocational Technical School and Penn Valley Community College; and,
 
WHEREAS, Stephanie is deeply committed to serving and contributing to the children and families in the Jackson County community;  and,
      
WHEREAS, Stephanie lives by the motto, "Stay focused on your dream"; now therefore,
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature recognizes Stephanie Pickett for her thirty (30) year commitment to the children and families of Jackson County and extends sincere wishes for her continued success in the Jackson County community.                                    .
 
 
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
