Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 1-07 for the furnishing of auto/truck parts from non-dealer sources for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments; and,
WHEREAS, a total of 18 solicitations were distributed and six responses received, two of which were "no bid," and one of which was non-responsive; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be divided and awarded to the following vendors as the lowest and best bids, in order to give the departments the flexibility to obtain parts at the lowest prices and avoid out-of-stock situations:

now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing to O'Reilly Auto Parts of Springfield, MO, NAPA Auto Parts of Blue Springs, MO, and CarQuest Auto Parts of Blue Springs, MO, for the upcoming twenty-four month period, with one twelve-month option for extension; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts and any extensions, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
