Body
WHEREAS, the Lee's Summit West High School girls soccer team, the Titans, was recently designated Co-Champion at the Missouri High School state championship after a grueling, four-overtime, 0-0 championship match; and,
WHEREAS, the Titans, 2005 state champions, had an impressive record of 24 wins, 1 loss, and 1 tie, and set a state record of 23 shutouts while only giving up 4 goals all season; and,
WHEREAS, the team is coached by Todd Krey and assistant coaches Mark Lutman, Bobby Conard, and Nate Parrish; and,
WHEREAS, the 2006 Lee's Summit West Titans girls soccer team includes the following exceptional athletes: Jenn Mahan, Amanda Spencer, Andrea Barnard, Christina Dittman, Kendra Fritz, Amanda Kersting, Alyssa Mullen, Ally Newman, Bri Scott, Sarah Williams, Alexa Bondon, Ashley Callahan, Jacque Dedovesh, Karley Kersting, Tara Limbach, Jessica Luark, Bronwyn Morris, and Kelsey Piepergerdes; and,
WHEREAS, the Titans have unquestionably established their position as a force to be reckoned with in the Missouri State High School girls soccer community; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates the Lee's Summit West girls soccer team for their dedication and hard work throughout the season and for their notable achievement as Co-Champion in a hard-fought battle to capture the Missouri High School state championship title.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
