AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established by the Jackson County Zoning Order by changing from District A (Agricultural) to District RR (Residential Ranchette) a certain 20 ± acre tract, and approving the preliminary plat "Truman Estates" creating a four-lot residential subdivision.

 Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "A" (Agricultural) District and the "RR" (Residential Ranchette) District so that there will be transferred from District A to District RR a tract of land described as follows:

Description: The 20 ± acre tract of land is approximately 600 feet east of Borgman Road on the north side of Missouri FF (Truman Road) and specifically described as:

 

A tract of land over part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 7, and part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 8, all in Township 49, Range 29, Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 7; thence North 1̊13'13" East, along the East line of said Southeast Quarter Section, a distance of 40.05 feet to a pont on the North right of way line of Truman Road, as it presently exists, said point being the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence North 85̊49'30" West, along said right of way line, a distance of 672.84 feet; thence North 1̊21'39" East, a distance of 641.14 feet; thence South 87̊11"26" East, a distance of 670.63 feet to a point on the West line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 8; thence continuing South 87̊11'26" East, a distance of 665.61 feet; thence South 1̊15'16" West, a distance of 673.08 feet to a point on said North right of way line; thence North 85̊49'30" West, along said right of way line, and also parallel with and 40.00 feet North of the South line of said Southwest Quarter Section, a distance of 665.83 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, containing 20.160 acres, more or less.

 

 

Section 2.  The preliminary plan "Truman Estates" creating a four-lot residential subdivision, is hereby approved.

 

Section 3.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of BS Builders, Inc. (RZ-2003-300), requesting the amendment embodied in this ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 5 to 2 to recommend this application in a public hearing on April 17, 2003, does adopt this ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

 Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
