AN ORDINANCE transferring $10,000.00 within the 2003 General Fund and $4,380.00 within the 2003 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund, and appropriating $43,354.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2003 Grant Fund to cover the Victim Services Volunteer Coordinator Grant for the Prosecuting Attorney's Office's Victim Services Program, received from the Missouri Department of Public Safety, and the transfer of matching funds.

Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Public Safety has awarded the Prosecuting Attorney's office a grant in the amount of $28,974.00 as funding for its Victim Services Volunteer Coordinator Program; and,
WHEREAS, this program serves crime victims; and,
WHEREAS, said grant is subject to a $14,380.00 local match; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said appropriation and transfer; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2003 General and Anti-Drug Sales Tax Funds and appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2003 Grant Fund be made:
