IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute an Agreement with the YMCA of Greater Kansas City for its Blue Hills Together program, to provide a local match to private grants, in an amount not to exceed $51,000.00. Intro RESOLUTION #11008, October 30, 1995 INTRODUCED BY Lisa White Hardwick, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the voters of Jackson County, Missouri, approved imposition of the sales tax for seven (7) years to provide funding for the fight against illegal drugs in our community; and, WHEREAS, the Legislature authorized matching funds through Ordinance 2373; and, WHEREAS, the YMCA of Greater Kansas City has received state grant from the Missouri Community Service Commission in the amount of $204,060.00, as well as funding from YouthNet in the amount of $112,680.00, and a "Caring for People" fundraiser has been held raising $14,132.00, for the YMCA of Greater Kansas City's Blue Hills Together program; and, WHEREAS, the YMCA of Greater Kansas City has requested matching funds in the amount of $51,000.00 to continue the program; and, WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has reviewed this request and recommends funding in the amount of $51,000.00 from her grant match account; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive Attorney is hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement with the YMCA of Greater Kansas City; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is hereby authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this Agreement...Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
