Body
WHEREAS, the County and the Broadway Westport Council desire to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, whereunder the County will pay $1,000.00 to Broadway Westport Council to be used for partial funding the Broadway Corridor Safety Initiative; and,
WHEREAS, the purpose of this initiative is to deter criminal activity within the corridor by providing public safety officers to perform foot patrols; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the attached agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
