IN THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI Title A RESOLUTION authorizing the Prosecuting Attorney to execute an Agreement with Women's Employment Network, to provide various services for clients of her Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court programs, at a total cost to the County not to exceed $50,000.00. Intro RESOLUTION #10825, May 9, 1995 INTRODUCED BY Lisa White Hardwick, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the voters of Jackson County, Missouri, approved imposition of a sales tax for seven years to provide funding for the fight against illegal drugs in our community; and, WHEREAS, the proceeds and interest generated from this tax are deposited in a special Jackson County Anti-Drug Sales Tax Trust Fund that is segregated and not commingled with the general fund or any other special funds of the County; and, WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has recommended a contract out of anti-drug sales tax funds with Women's Employment Network to provide various services for females who are indigent or on AFDC, and are clients of are clients of for her Deferred Prosecution and Drug Court Programs; and, WHEREAS, the attached contract sets forth the agreement and understanding of the parties; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Prosecuting Attorney be, and hereby is, authorized to execute the attached Agreement with the Women's Employment Network; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payments on this Agreement. Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
