Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 24-034 for lawn and golf course equipment repair for use by various County departments; and,
WHEREAS, a total of seventeen notifications were distributed and viewed, with two responses received and evaluated from the following:

Lawn & Leisure, Inc.
Lee’s Summit, MO
Van Wall Equipment, Inc.
Lenexa, KS
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Directors of Finance and Purchasing, Parks + Rec, and Public Works recommend the award of twenty-four-month term and supply contracts, with one twelve-month option to extend, for lawn and golf course equipment repair to Lawn & Leisure, Inc., of Lee's Summit, MO and Van Wall Equipment, Inc. of Lenexa, KS, as the lowest and best bids received; and,
WHEREAS, a split award is recommended to allow the Parks + Rec Department and Public Works to get the best price on each item needed; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases subject to annual appropriation; and,
WHEREAS the estimated spending under these contracts for 2024 is $60,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contracts, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
