Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16786, dated January 7, 2009, the County did award a contract to Wayside Waifs, Inc., to provide animal shelter services for the temporary shelter of small domestic animals and the proper disposal of dead animals, for use by the County; and,
WHEREAS, the completion of the new animal shelter and animal control contract with the City of Independence has been delayed beyond the end of year, requiring an extension of the agreement with Wayside Waifs, Inc., to continue to provide animal shelter services through the balance of 2010; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the required funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made:
